Better known as the Reliant, this kit is another great production of Apollo and a true testament to the company’s dedication to quality, functional devices. It is an inexpensive option with great features that are tailor-made for starters, or any vaper looking to get a pristine and trouble-free experience for a good price.
As you will find out, everything from the layout of the buttons to the functionality of the device have all been well thought out.
Despite the straightforward approach that the device has adopted, there’s no doubt that you’ll be able to get a great experience with this box mod. It has a variable temperature control mode that allows you to choose from 200 to 600° F. You also get up to 60W of power to work. Together, this means that whatever e-liquid you are using, you can set the optimum conditions.
The variability does not stop with the firing options. The mod is also compatible with a number of different temperature wire materials, including nickel, titanium, and stainless steel. This is made possible by the addition of a unique feature called the TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) setting. This great addition will also detect how fast the atomizer heats up and prevents firing when your coil is dry.
Before we explore the different features of the mod, let’s take a quick look at its pros and cons.

What We Didn’t Like Much
- The battery compartment is a little tricky to work with.

- There is some learning curve for beginning users.
One of the most commendable aspects of the Reliant 60W Pro Kit by Apollo is its performance, all the more so because of the safety features. With power reaching up to 60W, there’s no question that the device will be able to run most of the typical atomizers which are a great plus. Every time you screw in a sub ohm vape tank or even a dripper, the device will perform a check on the new coil up to make sure that the device does not fire on a dry coil.
Also, if the device goes into sleep mode for quite some time, once it’s back online, it will ask you to confirm whether or not the atomizer has been changed. Even though this might seem like a waste of time to some, it can prevent some common slip-ups and save you time and money in the long run.
Even though you can adjust the wattage of the mod to suit, you should know that it will take quite a bit of time. You have to hold the (+) button together with the main firing button for some time, then confirm the wattage by pressing the firing button again. Nevertheless, it is a great feature that allows you to customize your own settings. Once you have your preferred temperature settings, you can use the lock function so you don’t have to reset every single time.
The battery life is what you would expect from any other 18650 devices. While it is reliable, it will be affected by the wattage you’re running on and how frequently you use the device. However, you should be able to get about a day and a half of charge if you’re not using the maximum settings.
Every vaper wants to know that the kit they choose is not only able to give them great flavors but also significant vapor clouds. With the Reliant 60W Pro Kit by Apollo, it shouldn’t be much of a concern, especially given the temperature control flexibility. This is a feature that allows you to set your own standards for the ideal temperature and produce the vapor and flavor you prefer. The quality of the vapor does at times depend on the e-liquid being used, so you might want to consider that as well.
The temperature settings might take some time to grasp fully but just like any other piece of equipment, it only takes a short adjustment period before you figure it out.
With regards to the user experience, there are a number of factors that you should consider. First is how adept the user with mods. While the mod is well-designed, it is not completely intuitive. You will need to take some time to learn the button functions and how to adjust the settings.
The performance of the mod, however, is not in question. The Reliant delivers great vapor and flavor with the proper settings. The temperature lock ability definitely makes the process much easier.
As much as the design and execution of the mod have been streamlined, inevitably it will still take a bit of adjustment to understand how to best operate the Reliant and use it at its full capacity. There are features, however, that make that learning curve much shorter and more bearable. First is the bright LCD screen. This displays critical information like the current wattage and resistance.
The TCR feature is also very important and makes the device much easier to use and forgiving for new users. Not only does it keep the device from firing on a dry coil, it also checks and requires you to make a confirmation if a new atomizer has been installed. These keep the device and your atomizers from getting premature damage.
