Save-a-Smoker E-Cig Speed Review

We know not everybody has time to read our full reviews. So here is a quick category by category breakdown of the Save-a-Smoker E-Cig followed by a quick synopsis.

  • Choice: 60%
  • Build Quality/Sturdiness: 79%
  • Price: 71%
  • Vapor Quality/Production: 70%
  • Overall Rating: 69%

Save-a-Smoker is known for its expensive but well-received selection of e-liquid flavors. Their e-cigarette is a little less well-known, so we will give it a look and try to help you decide if it is worth your time.

What You Get

save ecigSave-a-Smoker’s MaxxVapor Pro comes in a few different starter kits. The basic one will cost you $69.00. It comes with an atomizer, two rechargeable batteries, a wall charger and a selection of five different flavor cartridges. The cartridges are of varying strength and flavor and tend to include the menthol and tobacco flavors rather than anything exotic.

If you want something a bit beefier, the Super Bundle is also available. This will run you $169.00, and it comes with two complete starter kits. If it stopped there, it wouldn’t be worth your money at all, but it also includes 50 additional cartridges (and you can pick your flavor and nicotine strength), a USB charger, and your choice of any two carry cases or car charger adapters.

Our recommendation is to begin with the starter kit and go from there, as the Super Bundle represents one of the most expensive e-cigarette kits on the market.

The Quality of the Products

save chargerSave-a-Smoker is obviously at the high end of the market’s price range. So you’ll want to know if the products included in the starter kits actually offer a reasonable value. We have to say that we were a little surprised to see the lack of a USB charger in the basic kit, as that’s how most people are likely to charge their e-cigs. But you can buy one on your own if you like as part of a car and USB charger combo for $11.95. Still, at the price being charged, it should have come standard.

The batteries are nothing exceptional. They take several hours to fully charge and they last about as long. They are durable though, and dropping them a few times isn’t going to affect their operation.

The vapor production is middling too, which has as much to do with the e-liquids as it does with the e-cigarette itself. Now the liquids are pretty great, and even though they are pricey, they are some of the finer flavors available.

Is It Worth Your Money?

Our final thought on Save-a-Smoker’s entire MaxxVapor line is that it is priced just a bit too high for what it is offering. Besides the flavors, there are no standout features or levels of quality that are anything better than what you can get elsewhere for cheaper.

So while the flavors continue to be pretty popular we think the e-cigs themselves are going to languish against their competition until they lower their price or step up their game.

Pros:

  • Some great e-liquids to choose from
  • Decent quality products

Cons:

  • Priced too high
  • No USB charger in the standard package.

QSC Rating: 69/100 by

Save-a-Smoker may stand out when it comes to flavors, but it’s not enough to recommend them as the go-to company for all your e-cig needs.
