The DaVinci IQ Vaporizer: Purity, Innovation, Control

Davinci IQ Vaporizer

The DaVinci IQ vaporizer takes vaping dry herbs to a whole new level with its innovative technology, pure taste, and ultimate device control.

But the main question is, does it justify the $274.99 hefty price tag?

We will explore the answer in the rest of this review, but first, there’s some good news:

DaVinci IQ is made by the same company that previously introduced the Ascent handheld vaporizer. If you own an Ascent or any of the Classic vaporizers by DaVinci, you will get an instant $51 store credit when your IQ ships.

What Is DaVinci IQ? A Quick Look at the Key Features

The DaVinci IQ is a portable herbal vaporizer that comes with a single 18650 battery which lasts for about 70 minutes on high temperature levels. It can be charged via micro-USB cable, which makes the process hassle-free, though it can take about three hours to get fully charged.

The mouthpiece and vapor passage are made of zirconia, which offers the same great taste, yet is 20 times stronger than glass. The DaVinci has 51 LED lights, which work as a grid display, instead of a screen display. Another way the mod communicates with you is the haptic feedback. The mod will vibrate when it reaches your desired temperature or turns off.

How Does the DaVinci IQ Work?

It has a pretty average size ceramic chamber based on conduction technology. That means the herbs are in direct contact with the heating element. If you think that it won’t offer an as crisp a flavor as the convection style vaporizer, well, it’s hard to answer because we tried the IQ and a convection vaporizer side by side and could barely tell the difference.

The single battery doesn’t offer an as long a battery life as two batteries, but the device makes up for this by offering the convenience of charging with a micro-USB charger.

The IQ uses the very finest materials to offer a sturdy build and the best taste. However, what really sets it apart is the three different modes you can use for different vaping styles.

The first one is the old-school Precision Control in which you simply choose a certain temperature level between 250 and 430°F, and the mod will vibrate when it is ready to go. The second one is our favorite, called Smart Paths. The vaporizer is Bluetooth-enabled, and you can download the app to control it through your mobile phone. You can then use the Smart Paths functionality to choose up to four different temperature levels and then instantly switch between them with a tap of your finger. Last, but not least, is the boost and standby modes, which lets you enjoy the on-demand hit and energy-saving capabilities. Hold down the power button, and the temperature will boost up very quickly and drop when you release the button. This feature actually makes it an ideal choice for all types of vapers.

When it comes to customization, it's virtually impossible to beat The DaVinci IQ vaporizer mod.

How to Get the Most Out of the IQ?

To get the most out of any conduction style vaporizer, including the IQ, you have to finely grind the herb and pack the oven fully and tightly. Then slowly make your way up through the temperature levels to get a smooth flavor and avoid getting the burnt taste.

What we Loved About the DaVinci IQ

  • Small, convenient, and portable design
  • Very comfortable to hold and use
  • Great and elegant design, sturdy buildDavinci IQ Vaporizer
  • Convenient haptic feedback
  • Micro-USB port for charging and a removable 18650 battery
  • Three different mods for different types of vaping
  • Good vapor production and amazing flavor
  • 10-year warranty

What we didn’t like much

  • Draw resistance is good, but not great.
  • The ball attached to the oven door is very easy to lose if detached.
  • The silicone mouthpiece casket is the only non-ceramic part of the vapor path.
  • The oven gets stained faster than normal.

Conclusion

Most herbal mods are expensive, and the DaVinci IQ isn’t an exception. However, it offers an extremely amazing experience and a bunch of features that pretty much justify the price. You can save up to $51 if you already own any of their previous models. This might not be worth the investment if you just want to try out vaping your herbs. If you’re a serious vaper looking for long-term satisfaction, however, we highly recommend the mod.
